Privacy Policy

ShopPause is operated by e-Fuse (ABN 11 696 657 833). We take your privacy seriously and collect only what's necessary to run the app.
What we collect
Account information
When you sign in, we collect your name and email address via Google Sign-In or email/password authentication (powered by Firebase Authentication).
Purchase information
Subscription purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat to verify your subscription status. We do not store your payment details. Those are handled entirely by the store.
Usage analytics
We collect anonymised analytics events (e.g. paywall viewed, subscription started) via Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used. No personally identifiable information is attached to these events.
Shopping items
The items you add to ShopPause (product names, URLs, prices, images) are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers.
What we don't collect
- We do not sell your data to third parties
- We do not use your data for advertising
- We do not collect your browsing history

Data retention
Your account data is retained while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen, which permanently removes your data from our systems. Your account data is processed by Google Firebase, whose servers may be located in the United States or other countries.
Push notifications
If you grant permission, ShopPause sends you local notifications, including pause reminders for items you're considering and your weekly reflection digest. All notifications are generated on your device and do not involve our servers.
Cookies
The ShopPause web app may use cookies or similar local storage set by Firebase for authentication session management. These are functional and are not used for advertising or tracking.
Children's privacy
ShopPause is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via the app or email.
